Sorry for the long hiatus. I’m back from a great 10 days in Europe. One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting the Centre Pompidou, a modern art museum in Paris. The museum is a nice size, easy to visit most of it in a couple of hours and they had a great street art exhibition from the artist JR called Inside Out (it’s really part of a much larger global art project by the same name). JR basically set up a giant photo booth at the bottom of the museum. Visitors could wait in line and – for free – have their picture taken and printed on a giant sheet of paper to post or use however they liked.
The photo booth. You had 10 seconds to line up your forehead with the bindi that would come printed on your picture. For me, embarrassingly difficult.
After some technical difficulties, the poster was finally printed and came out of a giant tower two stories high.
Me and my sisters! The final product. Slightly scary but fun.
The photo booth is at the CP until September 5th.
